The Bryan Cantley Memorial Award is given to a student who is actively involved in the journalism community at Ryerson University or at large.

Bryan Cantley was a founder of the Ryerson Journalism Alumni Association and remained part of the executive for more than 20 years. He passed away in 2013 and is remembered for his dedication to Canadian newspapers.
